Capri, a stunning island in the Western Mediterranean, a romantic hideaway we all dream of. Its history dates back to ancient times, as far back as the Bronze age.

It has been a summer resort in ancient times too, and perhaps Tiberius, the ruler of Roman empire, was the one who made it the most famous.

Tiberius moved there and built numerous palaces on the island, and loved to swim in the Blue Grotto (the Blue Cave) in the morning, but still managed to find time to rule the empire until his death.

This remarkable island can be reached by ferries from Naples, Sorrento and Positano (an hour’s cruise from Sorrento), and is heavily visited by tourists, especially by one-day excursions.
